In order to avoid losing configurations, components and pages already registered in a database, it is good practice to perform backups / copies of the database through SQL Management Studio.
Backup is a security copy of archieves, in case that you lose a database for example, you will have a way restore it.
1. Open the SQL Management Studio;
2. Fill the information of server name, authentication, user and password;
In the server name field, fill in the data referring to where the server is located.
Select Windows authentication if you use a Local database or SQL authentication if you already have an instance installed
This field will only be enabled if you use SQL authentication. Inform the user “sa”.

3. Click connect;
4. Click on Database and select the G-Electrical database folder;
The G-Electrical database by default has the name:

7. Click add;
8. Click the suspension points symbol;
9. Define a location to save the backup file and click OK;
10. Click OK again to confirm and start backup.
Pronto, dessa maneira foi realizado um backup do banco de dados do G-Electrical que estarÃ¡ localizado no caminho informado no campo Destino. Com esse arquivo Ã© possÃvel realizar a restauraÃ§Ã£o do banco de dados em um novo servidor SQL.
